Arjent Limited's Board undergoes restructuring welcoming Kalyan Ray as the new Chief Executive and Gregg Lerman as Director of Alternative Markets and US liaison. Their expertise in Operational, Financial and Investment fields complement the existing Arjent Board's expertise.

Arjent hosted client conference call with PhiloSmith, a leading financial services sector investment manager. We discussed extreme investor uncertainty and how concerns over capital adequacy have shifted the valuation process away from fundamentals. The conference call focused on many of the differences between the banking and insurance sectors and why we believe now is a good time for suitable investors to be allocating to certain financials.
January 2009
Arjent publishes a thematic making the case that suitable investors should consider short-selling long dated US Government debt. We argue that treasury prices have been overly inflated due to intense investor flight to quality and general risk aversion. We provided grounds that long dated US government debt is poised for a sell-off.
December 2008
Arjent's Alternative Investments yearly outlook suggests a shift from safe havens into riskier assets. Our forecasts for 2009 include: Strong returns for emerging market equities, financials, convertible bonds and risk currencies such as GBP & AUD. Arjent hosts Convertible Bond conference call from the offices of FEROX in London to explore the opportunities within the CB market. Arjent publishes a Memo outlining key points including an overview of the environment, case studies and expected catalysts which we think will drive performance going forward.

Our Alternative Investments yearly outlook suggests broad equity index weakness along with a strengthening of both the US Dollar (USD) and Singapore Dollar (SGD) vs. weakness for both the EUR and the GBP. The theme of de-leveraging continues as Macro investing is set to prosper.

Alternative Investments team makes Credit Crisis presentation to clients around the country explaining factors which are contributing to the credit crisis. Concludes that the UK property market is due for a correction (over-leveraged) and that the British Pound will weaken going forward (highly correlated with the banking sector).
