The security of your capital is paramount

Arjent does not hold client money. Client assets are held by a variety of leading institutions dependant on the asset class. We consider it paramount that your assets are held with the highest quality custodian and we run exhaustive due diligence on any custodian companies prior to the establishment of a formal relationship.

Equities & Fixed Income Accounts

Client assets are held with Royal Bank of Canada Correspondent Services (RBC CS) in the United States (SIPC insured) in a US Dollar denominated account facilitating access to the larges breadth of liquid securities across the globe. Dependant on macro economic conditions, currency hedging and / or directional strategies may be implemented. RBC Correspondent Services is a division of RBC Capital Markets (RBC CM), a premier investment bank, consistently ranked by Bloomberg among the top 15 global investment banks. RBC CM is part of the RBC conglomerate; operating since 1869 RBC has more that $632 billion in assets and a credit rating of Aaa (Moody's) and AA- (Standard & Poors)1. Client funds held in cash in a RBC CS account are typically invested in the money markets, yielding a return equivalent to the US deposit rate2.

Alternative Investment Accounts

Client assets are held directly in their own name by the investment provider(s) or their respective custodian. The currency denomination is dependant on our recommendation or the client's individual preference. Past allocations include US Dollars, Sterling, Euros, Australian Dollars and Singapore Dollars.

We only establish relationships with the most reputable investment firms with demonstrable track records, significant assets under management and experienced management teams.

Private Placement Accounts

Client investments are held directly by the issuer and during transit are held in escrow by an established law firm. Private Placement investments can take many forms; equity conversions typically mature into tradable common stock which can be held with RBC Correspondent Services or with a custodian of your choice.
